Bit of a newbie with QTP. Been using QA Run for a few years now but have been asked to start looking at QTP.
QA Run has a function called TextPanel . When using this it displays a userdefined message on screen - we use it to indicate where we are in a script or for synchronisation purposes. Can't see a similar function within QTP, have had a look around on various vbscript sites but can't find what I am looking for. Does anyone know a way of displaying a message (without using MsgBox as this sits there waiting for user to interact)?

objShell.Popup "Your Message Here", 10, "Your Title Here"
set objShell = Nothing</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">This will display a message box that will disappear after 10 seconds or after the user clicks OK.
You can decrease the time that the box displays by adjusting the value 10 accordingly.
I'm not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.
Thanks. Have already tried that this morning - and it works (to a certain degree!). Problem we have is, that for synch purposes, if a window we are expecting hasn't appeared after 10 seconds, we display a text panel advising us of this and this then counts up in seconds, how long we have been waiting. The method above does the same, but annoyingly beeps everytime it refreshes!
