I have noted in looking though a lot of posts that people use a lot of message boxes. Does everyone really use them that often?
Don't get me wrong I find them very useful when debugging my code, but I have seen code examples where people use them to display values in their test as part of the test.
If I need to record a result I write it to the report writer so I have a permanent recod of the value, with a message box that value is lost after the test is over.
I was just curious as to why it is so popular to use them in an actual test other than debugging.
Re: Message boxes
...Does everyone really use them that often?
Of course, not :-}
It is just for group posts, to verify how function or some line works and get value from somewhere.
We never-ever use MsgBox in real life TestCase.
Can you imagine who will press the button "yes"["no"] during unattended TestSuite running during the night? :-}
...other than debugging...
Debugging in QTP ?
You are kidding :-}
