After trying many ways (in QTP 9.0 with java add-in) I can't click a specific JavaButton and the object spy can identify it but it adds a notification - "the location you clicked is associated with several objects. Select the required object from the tree below:" but I don't want any of the upper objects ... I want to click this specific button.
I once succeeded somehow by changing the object identification options (java options) but i don't remember what was it. does somebody knows what options to change? or any other way to solve it?
Also, at times it becomes essential to record the hierarchy (tree structure) to get to the child object you're interested in. It all depends on how the page/application is coded. So even if you're not interested in the object above the one you need, you MAY have to add it to identify what you need.
Why dont you try and add all the objects in the App to the OR and then see if that button is added and i case its added, then note down its properties and you will know which properties you need to use.
When you click Add objects in the OR and the click on any of the Java button, you will see an tree view of the object and then select the topmost and click OK and then it ask you if you want to add all the objects to the OR, select that option and click ok
