Hello, I am creating QTP scripts to check a website with different domain names in the URLs througout the testing cycle. So, for example: when I record my checkpoints for links, it will record 'test' in the URL, but we move environments, we will have a different domain, like 'beta'.
Has anyone had the same need to include a parameterized value in a check point? I'm not looking to use the DataTable, here, I just want to construct my URL with a Parameter included in the checkpoint.
On this test cycle, I'm testing links for: "http://test.website.com/homepage.html"
On the next test cycle, I'm testing links for:
I already have the first domain server environment variable declared as a parameter that I have defined for the test. This way, I can at least navigate to the different environments in subsequent runs. What I need to learn how to do, is how to insert a parameter value into the link check. So that I can perform a link check like this: "http://"&Server&".website.com/homepage.html"
