Object disabled

Hi,
I have a question...
when i record application in two different actions for example say
action1: invoking a webapplication
action2: testing the functionality of that application

till the end of action1 it works fine but once it goes to the second action it says Object disabled.....

for some reason it is not able to read that application rather is not able to make it active..

can somebody help me with this!!

Thanks in advance..
Ravi

Re: Object disabled

Have you tried, Activating the window, Clicking on some object, or focussing on some object in that window before performing any other command.

It should work.

Regards

Check for which particular object its throwing the "Object disabled" error message.

Re: Object disabled

Strange, I've never seen that all the time I've been using QTP.

Try something like:

Browser("micClass:=Browser").Activate

Re: Object disabled

Hi Mark,

First of all congrats!! for completing 1500 posts, secondly "Activate" method works only for Standard Windows not for Browser Window.

There are 2 sols for that.

1. Handle1=Browser(xxx).object.hwnd
Window(Handle1).Activate

2. Browser(xxx).highlight

Thanks,
Wasim

Re: Object disabled

See, there can be two possibilities either the Frame is disabled or the SblTable.

Try these two statements.

code:

msgbox Browser("Siebel Financial Services&quot.Page("Siebel Financial Services&quot.Frame("My Contracts&quot.Object.disabled

OR
msgbox Browser("Siebel Financial Services&quot.Page("Siebel Financial Services&quot.Frame("My Contracts&quot.SblTable("Contract Info&quot.Object.disabled

Thanks,
Wasim

Re: Object disabled

why to disable the Object.
i think this is becoz
in the first action i invoked the application thats y its fine
but in the second action i didnt invoke it, i just tried to record by setting the record options to record on any open window-siebel-based application....

finally when its done doing the first action and goes to secnd action its not able to get the application up and active, thats y it says Object disabled... if i activate the application manually(click using mouse).. from that point it works fine.....

can you suggest me now?
