I was using the statement Browser(...).Page(...).Object.body.outertext to read browser text. It works perfectly well for IE but not for Firefox ... gives me General Run error. Any idea how to accomplish reading text off Firefox?
Try using this code.
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">Browser(...).Object.Document.documentE lement.innerText</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Thanks,
DOM is supported only for IE
statements including "Object." would not replayed on Fire Fox or Netscape
There are several instructions in Firefox and Netscape for text..... The browser text you refer to .. is it the title text you are looking to extract from the window itself or just text in general?
I like what i know and I know what i like
Max, I'm trying to read the complete text appearing in Firefox browser.
How do you read text from the webpage in Firefox?
read as in use inside tests, not as in using qtp created checkpoints.
Finding Objects in FF is not that hard when using QTP 9, but im having trouble using the output for verifications not revolving the usage of checkpoints.
