Grouping objects under one class in Object Repository
Here is my problem. I'm in the process of automating a documentum web application. The object in the app are being added as I record and customize my recorded script. However, whenever I perform a new recording, a new Page class is created and the newly recorded object is added under this new entry - even though this is the same screen I earlier recorded. So now I have, for example:
Remember, objectA and objectB are on the same screen. But, QTP records them into different page classes. THERE IS ONLY ONE INSTANCE OF THE BROWSER OPEN WHEN THE RECORDING IS MADE. This is usually the culprit. BUT AM I forced to reboot the machine to ensure that the original BROWSER COUNT is set when I do the recording???
Isn't there a way to move objects under the same Page class in the Object Repository?
That was easy to do on Winrunner. Just give the window object in your saved GUImap and the just recorded window object in the temporary map the same name and then MOVE the object under the temp into the permanent map.
How can I do something like this in QTP?
