I have a tree structure in my application which is developed in .Net.By using Descriptive Programming i m able to access all the objects in the application except this tree view. Its failing when i m using the following code
Browser("index:=0").Page ("index:=0").WebElement("Class Name:= WebElement","html tag:=SPAN","selected item:=Home").Click
(Note: here 'Home' is one of the node of tree)
The error coming is - not able to identify the 'WebElement' object.
i even tried for the whole treeview
Browser("index:=0").Page ("index:=0").WbfTreeView("Class Name:= WbfTreeView","html tag:=treeview","selected item:=Sizer Home").Click
But of no use!
Can anyone tell me what could be possible reason?
Thanks in advance.
Responsibilty is the price u pay for ur Freedom.
If QTP recognized WebTree as WebElement -
you can not manipulate the Tree as test case needed. QTP doesn't read all property of objects.
You should have QTP .NET AddIn to control .NET objects.
