Capturing object property values
I'm new to QTP so this may seem like a simple question. I'm trying to capture the disabled property of a web object in an app.
I'm using the code below:
x = object.GetRoproperty ("disabled")
When I run the script, I get the following error:
Object required: 'object'.
I surmise from the error msg that I need to somehow identify the object whose disabled property I'm trying to capture.
How is that done in QTP?
The object exists in the Object Repository.
It's pretty straight-forward process in Winrunner.
Re: Capturing object property values
Thank you, sir. It now works.
I noticed that it takes a bit of time for the script to grab the property value and display it.
If I'm checking for disabled statuses for about 50 to 60 objects this could take a very long time. It seemed instantatious in Winrunner world. Afterall, I am just checking for one property value...
