Testing DB Update
I am evaluating QuickTest Pro 8.0. It seems good in general. I do have a question on testing db update, although I saw some related topics, I still can not figure out the answer... sorry.
What I am trying to do is, I have built a web application, there is a simple web page for viewing and editing data stored in a table on Oracle db. To test it, I need to do some updates via the web page, check out the data in that table, make sure the updates went OK. Is there any way to undo the changes after the test run? Just to keep the data in the table as it was? I am thinking about storing the original data in the table somewhere before doing the updates, and restoring the data afterwards. I could not find an easy way to do that.
There might be a better way to approach it. I hope to have a good start with your help.
Thanks in advance,
Re: Testing DB Update
Well i think what you are doing is the approach that needs to be followed since you have to test the web app changes, that means the changes should be made and comitted.
