In our application design we have the version number in the title of the browser. If the QuickTest scenario was built for version A it should run on version B. But the test scenario that was built on version A does not run on version B since the title in Version B changes. Is there a way in quick test to eliminate the use of titles when running the test. We tried the option in quick test to run the test on any available browser.
First - you might want to have posted this in the QTP forum that is available for you specifically in questions related to this.
You can also look into the REGEX ability with VBSCripting if you need to overlook the changes in the titles of the browsers - I've used it in VBScripting in the past to get around some issues, but not sure of the specifics with linking into QTP as we don't use this tool in house as yet.
