Translation of HTML from source code
Are there any known issues with QTP's translation of HTML from the source code?
I have the following HTML in source;
<input type="submit" class="childLink" value="Personal Financial Questionnaire" id="leftNavItem51" name="navigateTo-/proposal/SuppersonalFinancial.do?life=1" />
However when I view this in the object repository it is displayed as follows;
<INPUT class=childLink id=leftNavItem51 type=submit value="Personal Financial Questionnaire" name=navigateTo-/proposal/SuppersonalFinancial.do?life=1>
Also, in the repository the Name is stored as "Personal Financial Questionnaire" rather than "navigateTo-/proposal/SuppersonalFinancial.do?life=1". Is this because QTP has "lost" the quotation marks around the Name?
Re: Translation of HTML from source code
It basically how IE interprets it. There is nothing wrong with QTP. As far as the name is concerned QTP has a algorithm using which it decided the logical name of an object and its not always on the object name in html code. As far the DQ conversion is concerned that is done by IE, so you cant help it.
