Creating Libraries for QTP
I want to define an approach to using QTP. I have considered a similar method with QTP that I am using with TCL/Expect... I have libraries for TCL/Expect and am wondering what should be my approach w/ QTP. Can anyone recommend how to create libriaries with QTP? I want to be able to login for example by passing parameters to a function in a library. Is there some documentation or training available? I hear that there is a training CD that costs big $$$$$.
Re: Creating Libraries for QTP
1. you can use vbs files as a storage for your functions;
2. you can create a test (or as many tests as you need) which contains reusable actions; there is a possibility to pass parameters into actions and from actions (input/output action parameters);
3. you can look up for topics here about using vbs files and action parameter - it will save your money
