Intermittent Analog-mode / normal-mode recording and running
I have two applications, between which I need to switch multiple times to see that a change made to custom object on one application, is indeed reflected in the other.
One of these applications is a graphics based application, while the other is a plain form-based application.
When I record in the Graphics-based application, I have to record in Analog mode. On the Form-based application I have to record in Normal mode.
My requirement is to be able to seamlessly simulate this in a single QTP script.
When I tried doing this, the Analog mode recording seemed to RUN everything properly in graphics based application, until the point where I switched to the normal mode (QTP menu). Since the recording mode was still Analog, it recorded the QTP window activation and the menu selection for switching to normal-mode, as part of the script (although my recording was relative to the graphics-based application's window).
If you know how to come out of Analog mode without switching application (like in this case from the graphics based application to QTP), please do share it !
