Hi, I have been using QTP to automate a .NET app. Until the last build it work fine, but with the inclusion of frames into the app, qtp has caused the app to load with errors, that is, the hom epage never loads all objects. I have tested all possible combinations and can conclude that its the .NET addin that causes the app not to load. Has anyone had similar problems?
we had an issue in here whereby the developers were setting the Selection.Start and Selection.Length properties of a few combo boxes to 0.
Problem was, these were non-editable combo boxes, ie the contents were fixed and when QTP came across one, it crashed out whereas it was fine if you used it manually.
For us it looked for the world that QTP was the blame. Another thing to look into could be the .NET framework version that your app is built on? As far s i'm aware v2 could require a patch for QTP 8.2.
We're with v1.1. Im sure there could be a development issue to blame however I dont fancy delving through code at present until mercury have had a thorough look at this. I was thinking it had something to do with the session state and how its controlled, also there is an inhouse develop grid control that could throw some light on this. I will keep you posted
