    How to export the result in a data table.

    Hi,
    Please help me in the following scenario,
    I have a data table in which the file names are there row wise. Scripting is done in such a way that in each loop one file is selected, if it is valid, then it is pass else fail. Now what i want is ,to store these result. I want to have a file with the name of the file and the status(Fail or Pass).
    Please help.

    first get the edit field value

    like

    edit_get_text(field name);

    printf(field name);

    ddt_set_val(table, column name);

    now u can able to set the values in to partticular column name in the table.

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">I believe this is a QTP forum.
    You can use Reporter.ReportEvent for having the details in a result set. And if you want to write text based results in a file then you can use FileSystemObject for that.
