    Abt .Test Results

    After a test has completed it's run,I click on the Test Results icon.(since I hv unchecked open the results after every run).
    Sometimes, I get the folll error :

    "Can't open file:C:\Documents\xx\xxx\Results.qtp"

    Why does this occur ?

    Looks like you've checked the option to save Result in temp folder.
    In this case, every next result overrides previous one. You can see only last Result.
    If you want to see all of them - change this option. So, QTP will put Results in sequential order into default folder under each Test.

    Janna,

    I don't think that should be the problem because what ever the case may be clicking on the test results icon gives you the last execution result. That means After running a test case you should always get the latest results and no error.

    Tarun is right, no matter wheather I am saving the results in temp folder or in a test Director project,QTP should display the last results.

    Anybody has encountered this kind of error ?

    Ok QTP man,

    Do you get this error when you use temporary folder for result or you get it with any option that you use for saving the results?

    I get the error only when I select the 'temp results folder' option.

    btw, I have noticed that when i manually deleted all result files from C:\...,I don't get the error.
