I am working on a script that has a dropdown which gets the values based on user Selection. I checked the name of the dropdown using Object spy and it changes everytime a new selection is added to the dropdown. Hence in each run after something is added to the dropdown, the script fails to identify the Dropdown because the name of the dropdown dynamically changes. How can I make my scripts run without getting the "Object not found" message.
One way is throuh Index property, If your dropdown box doesnot change the position then you can make use of Index property, if this is the first list box your seeing in your application, then the index property of this is 0.
I believe this has got something to do with the mandatory properties u set for the dropdown list . i think the one of the mandatory properties or one of assistive properties used to uniquely identify the object takes into consideration the number of items in the list
Just look into it Tools-->object identification
