I have created a master directory of my project which contains many subfolders to store scripts, test data excel files , library files ,repository etc..
But for execution of the scripts this master directory needs to be on 'C:\' of the machine.
I want to make it independent of path so that anyone can can copy the entire master directory anywhere on his /her machine and execute.
Tried to do something with Environment(TestDir) command. But could not reaaly acheive the goal. Can anyone suggest a way ?
You can always add a folder C:\ using the method available "application.setting......" ( i dont exactly remember the hierarchy of the object)which will ask your qtp to search in this folder as it is searching for files.
This can also be set using Tools-->OPtions-->Folders option in QTP
But the best thing is to include the "application.setting......" in your start up script for qtp to work properly
