Hi every one
How does the index property work?
I recently found out twith the help of a forum member (thanks a million mwsrosso) that the code
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">
</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">helps in solving image/button recognition problems when dealing with web apps.
However index property is not defined in the OR and is not displayed by the object spy.
value of "index" changes when used with different properties. That is index of an object to the frame or screen is different than index of object within group of similar objects on screen. So use the index property alongwith appropriate other property to identify the object
1.THe index property for an object depends on the order in which the object is created during the development.
FOr et. the if during development 2nd field is created before the 1st field , then the first field will have an index value of 1 and second will have an index value of 0
2. Index does not vary as your form get reorganized by delocating fields in the form, QTP will do a proper playback if index is used.
