    Re: selecting a dynamic link

    Hi John,
    Capture this number from object, that holds it
    with Object.GetROProperty("text") or
    ("value") or ("innerText").
    Explore this object with ObjectSpy to identify what property you can use.
    Put that value in some variable, like that:
    MyLinkText = ....Object.GetROProperty("text")

    Then, use Descriptive Programming to activate dinamic link on Click event:
    .....Link("text:=" & MyLinkText).Click

    If you need more help, just post your code.
    You will get solution :-}

    Happy testing

    Re: selecting a dynamic link

    You can also use the SetTOProperty for the identified object i.e. if the repository has innerText recorded for that link then you can use

    Browser("Browser").Page("Page").Link("Link").SetTO Property "innerText",newNumber

    It some times does not work beacuse of SMART IDENTIFICATION being enabled for that object. Disable smart identification for that object if it does not work.

    selecting a dynamic link

    I am running a program that will create a unique number at the beginning. There is a link later on in the program that is that unique number.

    I want to select that number and open that link. The problem is with it being a different number everytime the program always blows up at that point. Is there a way of selecting this link? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

    Re: selecting a dynamic link

    Browser("browser").Page("Page").Frame("frameQueueB rowseList").Link("referral", dtGlobalSheet).Click

    This is what I have. Sorry, I'm not really good at coding, and this is a different kind of code that I've never played with before. What I want to do is have something like

    Browser("browser").Page("Page").Frame("frameQueueB rowseList").Link("link").Click
    where "link" = "referral", dtGlobalsheet

    I just don't know how to do that in this program. If you guys can give me any help I appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    John

    Re: selecting a dynamic link

    Try:

    Browser("5/3 Work Manager").Page("5/3 Work Manager").Frame("frameQueueBrowseList").Link("inne rText:"&DataTable.Value("referral").Click
