Speeding up QTP run
We created about 50 different components that we can use to string together to create our test cases. The problem is that when we run the scenario the test takes a while to run.
The biggest holdup is the time it takes QTP to open the next component that it needs to run.
Sometimes it takes longer to open the component than it does to actually run the component itself i.e. the login component takes 1 minute to run but 2 minutes to load.
Is there any way to mitigate the load time of the components during the test run? Like having QTP begin loading the component while the previous one is still running or loading all the components at the same time?
Thanks for any advice.
Re: Speeding up QTP run
I don't know if it will work but try splitting the test into smaller tests with resuable functions called from a command test???
