I'm posting this in a number of forums...

Lately, moderators have been getting inundated with reported posts. Over the the course of a couple years, I think of all the reported posts sent to me, less than 5% of them can be attributed to "problem" postings. The VAST majority of these coming through are of the following categories:

1. A post is replied to via the Report Post icon instead of the Reply icon.
2. The user posts a question and then sends a message to the moderator to answer it/offer suggestions.
3. Users asking for free/pirated/etc. copies of tools/software.

Please remember what reporting a post is for and that it shouldn't be used unless there's something that needs to be pointed out to a moderator (the post is causing problems OR it is useful info that should be sticky'ed).
