Sometimes I need to write the results of a checkpoint to a text file.
I have an external sub that does this: cFunc_TFTest(question, TFValue).
If I replace TFValue with the checkpoint, then the sub outputs PASS or FAIL to an output file, depending on the truth value of the checkpoint.
This works, MOST OF THE TIME.

code:

cFunc_TFTest "Do the languages appear?", Browser("PeopleSoft 8 Sign-in".Page("PeopleSoft 8 Sign-in".WebTable("Language:_2".Check (CheckPoint("Language:_2_2")

Problem: I get a false negative on this if it's from a TOP LEVEL PAGE checkpoint. Everything else seems to pass along the value of the checkpoint. But imagine my embarassment if my text file says a particular test failed, but the results page in QTP says it passed.
Is there something I'm missing? Is this a problem with QTP's PeopleSoft add-in? in general, "HUH"?
I'd rather have a free bottle in front of me than a prefrontal lobotomy.
