    More Checkpoints. Reporting On Checkpoint Pass.

    Hi,

    The application I test is not the most friendly when it comes to automation (Whats New!) so when checking objects on the page I tend to see if they exist if they do they pass if not they fail.
    Such as.

    </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">Dim DateGathered
    DateGathered = Browser(&quot;Name&quot.Page(&quot;Name&quot.Frame(&quot;Iframe&quot.WebElement(&quot;11Mar2005&quot.Exist

    If DateGathered = &quot;True&quot; Then
    Reporter.ReportEvent micPass, &quot;Confirmation Screen &gt; Confirmation_Create&quot;, &quot;Field: Date Gathered. Checkpoint Passed.&quot;
    Else
    Reporter.ReportEvent micFail, &quot;Confirmation Screen &gt; Confirmation_Create&quot;, &quot;Field: Date Gathered. Checkpoint Failed - Date Expected not found.&quot;
    End If</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">You get the gist. Anyway I have an item (in a table cell) that is dynamically generated via looping another action. The resulting string then populates the table cell.

    Checking this using the above method does not work. I hence use a standard checkpoint to confirm that whats in the specified table cell is actually what I'm expecting. Such As:

    </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">Browser(&quot;Name&quot.Page(&quot;Name&quot.Frame(&quot;Iframe&quot.WebTable(&quot;Operation / Unit:&quot.Check CheckPoint(&quot;Operation / Unit:_3&quot</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">This works fine but does not show up in the results as a pass only if it fails. Is their some "result" to this check that I can grab and report on?

    Cheers people.

    Sandy

    If the coords of the table cell is constant, you maybe you can use

    Browser("A").Page("B").WebTable("C").GetCellData(R owNum,ColNum)

    to check the value and generate report accordingly?
