I have finished executing my qtp scripts. Now the next step would be to put them in TD.
Now how to give the go. I am not that experienced in TD, if you guys can give me a start on this, it would be great.
Actually i created a folder and then opened a new test and then tried to launch it. it worked but i am not able to puch it to the test lab. it gives me an error stating that "test not part of the test set".
and then if you guys can enlighten me scheduling it would be great.
I tried the TD user manual, it was not that comprehensive.
Re: QTP inTD
First, make sure you have the TestDirector Connectivity Add-in for QTP. From TD there should be a link for add-ins.
If you want to store your scripts in TD, open QTP and goto Tools -> TestDirector Connection. Enter your TD server, project and password and connect. From there you can save a test to either a Project or by File system.
Check the manual if you have problems, it is all in there.
Re: QTP inTD
I just looked at your post again and I think I misunderstood what you were asking.
From the Test Lab you need to create a Test Set. You can add any number of tests from the Test Plan into your new Test Set.
Your test set is where you can manage scheduling.
