webelement can be seen in object spy but cannot be called by descriptive program

An webelement <DIV> can be seen in object spy. However, when trying to call it via descriptive programming, Browser("..").Page("..").Frame("..").WebElement("h tml tag:=DIV").Exist, it does not exist. After adding that element into object repository, it can be called by Browser("..").Page("..").Frame("..").WebElement("n ame of the DIV"). However, descriptive programming is the requirement here.

Re: webelement can be seen in object spy but cannot be called by descriptive program

    Hi,
Instead of html tag, try to use some other unique property like innertext....b'coz may the frame contains more webelements of type html tag <div>....so if the same description is found more than once, then the descriptive programme wont work out...so try to add unique property...

Have you tried to identify it using a DOM Object loop listing all element tagNames & values then using those values in your DP statement?
