any reviews on the Kanglin Li, Mengqi Wu gui automation book
I've always been interested in new approaches and techniques, and the authors mentioned above propose to have just that.
Has anyone worked through their book - "Effective GUI Test Automation: Developing an Automated GUI Testing Tool", and formed any opinions. Also - can anyone compare the effectiveness of the approach in the book to that use it to QuickTest Pro or Winrunner.
The book is quite technical - much more geared toward QA people with a strong development background, and comes with quite a bit of code.
Re: any reviews on the Kanglin Li, Mengqi Wu gui automation book
Not read it but it sounds a bit model driven to me as it refers to monkeys, as I had not seen it before though and I have a tendancy to get under the bones of tools, I ordered both their books. I will post more on the subject when i have read them
Thanks for the info on something I really should not have missed uptil now.
