I have a situation(working on VB application) where if checkpoint passes i would like to continue running of the script else i would like to give out put test result as "Test Failed" how to do this?
Can any one enlighten me with this.
In the situation, you've described -
all this job will be done by QTP automatically:
if checkpoint failed it would be indicated in the Report as Failed Test Case with pointer into failed CheckPoint.
If you want to put some additional information into Report - use:
Reporter.ReportEvent EventStatus, ReportStepName, Details [, in]
U can extrapolate on the following lines:
If Browser("QA Forums: Checkpoin").Page("QA Forums: Checkpoin").WebCheckBox("Signature").Check (CheckPoint("Signature")) Then
Use ExitActionIteration (0) function to end the action iteration.
Make sure to put braces after 'Check' (for checkpoint statement) as: Check (CheckPoint("Signature"))
