    capturing Web Calendar

    My web-based app has a 3rd party DHTML written calendar. Unfortunately, QTP does not identify this nor does it record actions on it. Turning on ActiveX add-ins did not serve the purpose either. The calendar is activated by clicking an image that is identified.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Re: capturing Web Calendar

    Try changing the record and run test settings to run on any application..... failing that you might have to do some descriptive programming to get round this problem.

    Hope this helps

    Re: capturing Web Calendar

    Mark this is the descriptive Code I use to select days within an HTML calendar on our site:

    With Browser("name:=.*").Page("title:=.*")
    ' Select a day using the calendar
    .Link("innerText:=View calendar >","index:=0").Click
    .Link("innerText:=1","index:=0").Click
    .Link("innerText:=View calendar >","index:=1").Click
    .Link("innerText:=2","index:=1").Click
    End With

    Perhaps you could transpose your object names into this code.

    Mark Smith.

    Re: capturing Web Calendar

    Thanks for the replies guys. I tried out both the suggestions but neither seemed to work.

    Mark Smith, the problem is that QTP does not identify the calendar icon as a link. It's just a plain ole image to QTP. As of now my problem is verifying the 'href' for the calendar. I think I could use analog recording to select a date (though I'm not a big fan of analog mode) but the problem of obtaining the 'href' still exists.
