When a sample application is recorded and run i am getting an error saying that cannot identify the object and says to check the Object properties with the Application Properties.
The same application is working on the other machine.
Re: QTP 6.5
Ensure that the object in your application exists within object repository. If not, add it in, and ensure it is referenced correctly within the script.
Re: QTP 6.5
So if I understand correctly, the script runs successfully on 1 of 2 PCs. On the machine that fails does it run some of the script and fail at a certain point consistently, or does it crash from the start? Are any of the properties in your application dynamic? Can you provide some more details, what kind of repository do you use and what was the application developed with?
I've seen a similar issue at a client before, but the issue was timing related. The script was created and debugged on a PC with more power than the PC it would be run on. As a result when the script was run it would be fine on the machine that created it, but there were timing issues that surfaced because of the weaker test box.
