I don't think there is. I think WSH does garbage collection when using "set <name> = nothing". However try looping your script/code a few thousand times and look at the physical memory usage through perfmon.
Thanks for your reply. I am writting some utility functions in VBScript to enhance my test. I amtrying to write some script to detect memory leak in AUT. If anyone has some readymade script, please share it!!
All -- While testing AUT, invoke task manager. At spedified intervals, or at test start and test stop, do an output statement from TaskManager for the specific memory values you want to monitor...differs for different versions of Windows. Then compare your beginning and ending values. This will show changes in memory over the course of the test...whether it is a leak or not is a more complicated call.
