    Retrieves Data from Datatable and then moves to localActionsheet....?????

    Hai All,
    See i am parameterizing some datavalues and it worked fine.After fetching all the data's from the global datasheet it's moving to the localActionsheet in fetch of data.

    This is the script i have written,whats the wrong in it

    for i= 1 to 2
    Browser("Header Frameset").Page("Header Frameset").Frame("main_4").WebEdit("txtStateName") .Set DataTable("stateName", dtGlobalSheet)
    Browser("Header Frameset").Page("Header Frameset").Frame("main_4").WebButton("Save").Click
    Browser("Header Frameset").Dialog("Microsoft Internet").WinButton("OK").Click
    Datatable.SetNextRow()
    next

    Can anyone help me

    Give this a try Datatable.GetSheet("stateName").SetNextRow()

    Hopefully this will prevent QTP from moving over to the localActionsheet.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Maxj..

    I tried with that code but it does not work....

    Browser("Header Frameset").Dialog("Microsoft Internet").WinButton("OK").Click
    Datatable.GetSheet("stateName").SetNextRow()

    Is there any problem regarding the exporting of my excel sheet....

    Kindly reply

    Metalearn,

    Was there an error message when the code didn't run. If so what was it. I don't have access to my reference book now but maybe you need to specify where the datasheet is. Did you try adding the location of the datasheet as follows:

    Datatable.GetSheet("stateName", dtGlobalSheet).SetNextRow()

    Hope this helps

    Metalearn,

    Actually I don't think the syntax was correct on my last post and it probably won't work.

    I'm re-reading your original post. In the global data sheet do you only have 2 rows of data? If so then when you try to SetNextRow when there is no data QTP might be switching actions datasheets on you.

    Maybe you could explicitly state the row you want by adding a line after the For statement like:
    DataTable.SetCurrentRow(i)
    and removing the last SetNextRow line in the For loop.
