I believe you do not always want row 5, but whichever row has KS as the state, yes? Is there only one row with KS as the state? If so, then you will need to create a loop that counts the number of items in the list, then goes through them one by one, pulling the value for each into a local variable, then perform an InStr function to see if KS is part of the value. Once you find a match, get the index for that row, then apply Marcellus' solution. You will need to use GetROProperty a lot to do all of this.
Thank you, both. Chopperdog you are correct KS is a unique value I am looking for in only one row. I am at QuickTest Advanced training now so I will get all the information I can about the GetROProperty. I will then find out how to do the index #5 part from maxj.
kist -- In fairness to all my fellow instructors -- if you are in Advanced training now, you should ask your instructor these questions...BUT...only during breaks or before/after class. Please focus on the class...you will learn a lot of good information in the proper order. It is very distracting to have students off trying to play with thier own apps in the middle of the class (not saying that is what you are doing), I have been there many times.
Thanks for your advice. I did ask my instructor, however some instructor have a hard time with "real world senerio's. I am writing these questions on my lunch time and breaks in hopes to be able to get started first thing Monday morning. I would not learn very much if I was typing e-mails while instruction was going on. Plus it would also be very disrepectful.
