Is there Class inheritance in QTP

does QTP follow a class inheritance?
Can I override the "Common Methods and Properties" common to all standard Windows objects, by overriding the method of the topmost class?

Re: Is there Class inheritance in QTP

By using "RegisterUserFunc" Courtsey member 'qadanger' Refer my thread Topic: How to slow down script execution

If I remember corectly, in silktest, if I overried a method for the top class, it percolates down to the object.

You can register a function in place of an existing function. I doubt whether it is true 'inheritance'. Also, the registration is not permenant. You cannot permenantly override a qtp function - I think.

Re: Is there Class inheritance in QTP

For me permanancy is not a issue if I can override the method.
