Switching between SAP and Windows screens
In a script that I have created using QTP 6.5 that was recorded mainly in SAP, there is a step where a button is press in SAP to attach a file. This causes an 'Open' window to appear where the desired file to attach can be specified (in this case it's an MS Word document).
This is a simple exercise to do this manually and record these actions - press button in SAP, specify file to select in 'Open' window, then return to SAP and keep processing. However, when the script is run it always hangs at the point where it should be selecting the file to attach in the 'Open' window.
Is there some operation in QTP that will allow this back-and-forth between applications to happen smoothly? I haven't found any options yet that will let this happen.
Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Switching between SAP and Windows screens
I have related problem in QTP 6.5
Im running SAP program RSTXPDFT4 to convert ABAP list spool to PDF file. When I execute the program, with all parameters filled in (spool number, PDF filename and Download to PDF file selected), a pop up window "SAVE AS" appears.
This pop up screen cannot be captured using normal recording so I have to use the Low level recording
When I run my script, it stops when it triggers this pop up screen and returns an error "Cannot identify the object "Save As" (of Class Window).
Is there a workaround/solution to this problem? I would appreciate any help you could extend
