    What is the better approach

    Hi Group,

I am new to this group and also to QTP 6.5. As a matter of fact I am doing testing for the first time. I have to create reusable test cases for one aspx website using QTP.

Could anyone please suggest the initial approach that I should take for learning QTP and also dividing the web site functionality into test cases ? I am sorry for such a naive question.

    Thanks
    Rahul

Re: What is the better approach

    Welcome to testing and automation!

The best thing to do at this point is any one or more of the below:
    1) Get manual test training
    2) Get QTPro training
    3) Do the QTP Tutorial
    4) Check out the Links tab to your upper right.
    5) Read books about testing:

Note! Testing cannot be learned overnight.
Automated testing cannot be learned overnight and it certainly stands a good chance of failure if not properly planned.

Send whoever put you into this predicament, here for an eye-opening education about testing and automation.
