I want to connect to the Oracle database and query it without going through the Database checkpoint wizard.I want to do this because the data in my database changes dynamically.Could someone help me about the connection to the database using VBScript..
Dim c, r
Set c = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
Set r = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
c.Open "Provider=MSDASQL.1;Persist Security Info=False;Data Source=db1"
r.Open "select * from table1", c, 3, 2, 1
Here's the code...Only thing that u need is the appropriate Conn String (that would be different for Oracle DB)
After connecting to database and executing query
as brain suggested above we can use GetRows method of the recordset object so that we can copy the recordset to an two dimensional array so that we can easily analyse the results of the query.
r.RecordCount indicates the number of records to copy and
0 indicates the starting record.
now we can access any cell of the two dimensional
