Won\'t record JAVA
I have been trying to record and playback some tests on a Java app. I do have the Java option selected on startup. For some reason, even though I have the record level set to the hightest level of detail, I keep getting nothing. It doesn't seem to detect any of the Java. Has anyone had this problem?
Re: Won\'t record JAVA
I am running QTP 6.0 on our Java app. but I haven't had any problems.
A few questions though...
1. What version of QTP are you using?
Honestly, I have found the QTP 6.0 implementation of Java a bit lacking.
2. What version of the Java Virtual Machine are you using?
This can be important since the MS JVM is not the same as Sun's. Check on what version your development team is using. If you aren't, I would suggest using the Sun JVM (1.4.1 +).
3. Look in the manual for the Java hooks that Mercury uses. I don't know of the top of my head what they are, but QTP invokes some Java command-line switches that allow QTP to hook JVM events, et. al.
Hope this helps.
