using loadrunner to run a quicktest script
I have LR 7.0 and QuickTest Pro 6.0.
I have created quicktest script against a web based three tier architecture with Websphere/oracle .
When I invoke this script in Loadrunner controller ,I get an error stating that loadrunner is not able to find an internet connection.
But I am able to run other Loadrunner scripts which were created withuin loadrunner.
Any hints/help is greatly appreciated.
Re: using loadrunner to run a quicktest script
As far as I was told, you need Loadrunner 7.5 and higher to run Quicktest scripts. Just ask Mercury to send you the latest.
And FYI, once you get 7.5+, you'll find that your scripts are recognized as "Astra Quicktests" by Loadrunner.
However, beware: Loadrunner does not support .tsr files. In other words, you cannot run any scripts which access shared repositories. If, like me, you've already created tons of tests with a shared repository, you will become quite angry when you find you have just wasted all your time...
And there might also be some problem with running Quicktests which load the browser by themselves, instead of using the Run and Record setting to launch the browser. I have not fully checked this out, however, and it may be that the repository difficulties were the root cause of all my problems.
