Do u guys know where to learn QTP on our own?
I don't find a trial version for that.
How come people are learning, R they buying the software?
Yes you can leard QTP 5.6 on http://www.qatraining.net We are working on getting an updated course for QTP 6.0 but that won't be for a few more months.
You can download an eval version from the Mercury website and go through the tutorial. I have done that when I was unemployed and wanted to spend time with the new version.
Quality is the result of a carefully constructed cultural environment. It has to be the fabric of the organization, not part of the fabric.
In my humble opinion the best idea would be learning vbScript - there's a variety of books and web sites about that.
I would have to agree with doronp. The tool itself isn't complicated. You'll learn most of it in one maybe two weeks. Just make sure that you're up on vbscript which isn't that complicated.
I would add the following would be quite useful to extract the maximum benefit from the tool:
Windows Script Host
Windows Management Instrumentation
Oh yes, and experience in the testing life cycle is always useful.
