File read/open of XML type files. . .
Trying to use QTP6.0 to capture text from a browser page or field, save it, then do a file open on an xml-type file, read the appropriate tag, and compare the value captured in browser, to value read from file.
Bonus, then QTP needs to open terminal emulation window, enter the value in a field there, and verify that the value exists in a mainframe.
I can think if many challenges with each step of this task, but other challenges include: can QTP switch from browser mode to Terminal Emulation mode on the fly, etc.

You will find that help covers it fairly well. To start with ,ook for "XMLData Object" and then go from there.
One tip. The particular methods available don't allow for an "edit" of an attribute value. To get get around that what you do is delete the attribute and its value then add them back in.
'Remove the existing subject attribute...
