Difference between WinRunner and QuickTest
Pardon me for the stupid question. I have used WinRunner before and I am curious to know what are the differences between QuickTest and Winrunner.
From what I know, both serve as tools for functional/regression testing. How are the two different and when do you use one versus the other.?
Re: Difference between WinRunner and QuickTest
QuickTest scripting language is VBScript instead of TSL. It looks much easier to use than WinRunner. It does not have support for StinGray, yet. Mercury Interactive is pushing this tool. They are hoping that all WinRunner users switch to QuickTest. Most important, Mercury Interactive won't have more WinRunner releases, just software patches.
