I installed the 7 day evaluation version of QTP in Win2k Pro System. At the time of installation there was an error message saying that a particular DLL has some problem and is been fixed by MS. Download the same and replace it on your system. I forgot to note down the DLL name and took just the URL (http://support.microsoft.com/support/Q293/23.asp) When I browsed the url, i got "no such page exists" message from support.microsoft.com.
Whenever, i run my QTP script, after completing the test, the QTP throws an error, cannot read/write to memory location. Click "ok" to terminate & "Cancel" to debug.
Is this problem related to that DLL or something else is wrong?
Well the problem was with the DLL "pdm.dll", which is a part of Microsoft Debugger. QTP uses this script to debugg the script. The older version of this causes the QTP to crash after the script is executed. I downloaded the laster version of the Microsoft Debugger from MS site and installed it. Now its working fine!
