user defined functions
I have carefully read the Astra QuickTest 5.0 user's guide and can't determine if I can write my own vbScript procedures [either a SUB or a FUNCTION].
Most of the documenation seems to indicate that I can only "use" functions provided the tool. But in the advanced section under the description of the DIM variable declaration statement the guide states:
"The Dim statement is used to declared variables of all types, including strings, integers, and arrays. Use the Dim statement at the beginning of the procedure".
That statement seems to indicate that I can write my own procedures.
So is it possible [in the 5.5 version of the product] to write your own functions?

Re: user defined functions
You can simply write a function in the script:
' Convert a buffer to lower case and call Edit.Set
Function MyEditSet (EditObj, EditText)
Set EditObj = Browser("Yahoo!").Page("Yahoo!").WebEdit("p")
' Call MyEditSet function
MyEditSet EditObj, "ABCdef"
