Loading xls files from Test Plan > Attachments tab into UFT

    Hello -
Has anyone loaded xls files into UFT from ALM > Test Plan > Attachments tab? Is this possible? I cant find much from the help documentation.
    Any suggestions is appreciated.

@tarunlalwani - can you offer a solution please? I know you know the syntax better than your spoken language. It would be much appreciated.

Tarun hasn't been around here for a long time after switching to Selenium.

To get to attachments in the Test Plan you will likely need to use QC's API to do so. Check out the documentation code samples under Attachments and Extended Storage Examples.

You can access the attachments in ALM > Test Plan > Test -> Attachments tab directly, without using OTA.

FYI. In earlier versions of ALM/QC, there was no Test Resources module and the test data sheet was stored as attachments. Anyways, the test data sheet can be accessed as below to import the excel file, else use ImportSheet with Src & Dest name.

    DataTable.Import "[ALM] Subject\SmokeTests\Test 1\TestData.xlsx"

Test 1 - Name of Test
    TestData.xlsx - Obviously attachment name :-)

Tip: To get the path name correct. Go to File - > Settings -> Resources -> Other Location -> Browse file

Just curious.. why would you store it in attachments instead of Test Resources module.
