Issues in recognizing the 'Push pin' object on the 'Google Map' page using UFT

    Hi,

I'm unable to Identify the Pushpins on the Google map page with the UFT object spy.

I'm using UFT 12.02v and the browser is IE10 in windows 7 environment.

I did try to record and play back but the objects were not Identified.

Please help me out to Identify the these objects.

    Thanks
    Raju

The entire map is a custom drawn canvas. It'll just recognize it as one large canvas.

Our AUT uses Google map now but before used Bing maps. UFT was able to recognize objects (like the pins) in the Bing map, but not in Google map.

There must be a way to recognize those pins.

Through the DOM maybe? I am not that familiar with coding through the DOM. Can anyone help?

What about using the UFT "Extensibility Accelerator" tool? Can anyone help?

If you only need to click the pin, you can try using INSIGHT to achieve that.
If you need to access the properties of the pin, then you'll need something better.

For now, we just need to count the number of pins. Would Insight or anything else work?

there's a big difference between the google maps using web canvas and custom drawn UI, and Bing that uses SVG, still custom drawn but with individual layer elements.
