"nspecified error" while accessing methods of Oracle 11i form objects using UFT
We are facing issue while automating Oracle 11i ( version 11.5.10 ) and UFT ( version 12.02) .
1. Sometimes the objects are being identified as Oracle objects and sometime the objects are identified as Java objects.
2. UFT throws Unspecified error while accessing the methods related to oracle objects.
Does anybody have ever faced this kind of situation before?. Please suggest.
P.S HP does not provides a concrete solution to this. They say to work with Java objects but do not comment on why this switching between oracle and java objects are happening.
I had a lot of trouble with UFT 12.0X. It had all sorts of unstable things occurring. I would move up to at least 12.5x.
I have seen other cases where every time I would restart UFT or reboot the PC that the objects would be recognized differently on many versions of QTP/UFT. I don't know what makes it happen.
Make sure that you are opening UFT FIRST. Then the application under test.
When in Florida, Don't Tampa with the code. I made this up.
