accidents while with resetting test sets to "no run"
I have inadvertently deleted ALL of my run history on a few test plans and here is the reason why.
You right click on the folder where you want to reset the runs to no run. But click ANYWHERE on that line turns the selection button on. For example, if you click the area to the right of the text (not on the text) and it turns on the selection for "delete all the test results in the test set".
Since clicking ANYWHERE close on that line turns on the radio button, it is very easy to inadvertently delete ALL of the test results when you merely wanted to reset the test set to “No Run”.
Is there a way to remove or shut off the option? Or is there a way to work around this? We NEVER want to delete all of our test run results.
It has been a while since I did any QC/ALM customization but I believe you can intercept that event before it wipes everything out. You might be able to get rid of the menu item but, if I recall correctly, HP didn't allow a lot of removal of default options.
Another approach might be to remove the rights to delete test runs from all the user groups except maybe the admin.
