Connection name to ALM
The folowing code orignated in Stack Overflow by Alex Shnayder.
I changed it to live inside of UFT 12.02 rather than VBA.
Question: What is the word for connecting to ALM from UFT? It used to be tdc. Did it change with the QC and then ALM names? Do I need this inside of UFT at the start of the command?
Dim custUsers 'As CustomizationUsers
Dim USR 'As CustomizationUser
Dim UList 'As List
Dim maxU, uCnt
Set custUsers = tdc.Customization.Users <-- Where is root of ALM once UFT 12.02 is connected to ALM?
Set UList = custUsers.Users
maxU = 5
For Each USR In UList
uCnt = uCnt + 1
msgbox .name & ", " & .Email
If uCnt > maxU Then Exit For
"tdc" is just a variable name you're just missing that from your code. Up above that somewhere would be this. It could just as well be "abc" or whatever you wanted to make it.
Set tdc = CreateObject("TDApiOle80.TDConnection")
and then the connection string info.
But if you're inside QTP/UFT and Connected to QC/ALM you can reference the OTA directly with "qcutil". i.e. QCUtil.CurrentTestSet Not sure if they've changed it.

The explanation was very good.
I appreciate the information.
They still use QCUtil in UFT 12.02
